Mitchell Wicker Jr., M.D.

Mitchel Wicker Jr., M.D., Internal Medicine

A Kentucky native, Dr. Mitchell Wicker completed medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan and completed a residency in internal medicine at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan. He returned to Kentucky and started practicing medicine in Hazard in 1981 and is currently the medical director and President of the Hazard Clinic. Dr. Wicker is a Fellow with the American College of Physicians and a Diplomat with American Board of Internal Medicine. He is on staff with Appalachian Regional Hospital in Hazard and participates on the hospital’s care and quality committee. He is active with Kentucky Medical Association and participates on several committees with that organization.

Ronald Collier, M.D., Pediatrics

Dr. Ronald Collier, a Whitesburg, Kentucky native attended medical school at the University of Louisville. He did his Internship and Residency in Pediatrics at U of L Health Care University Hospital with a fellowship in Neonatology from U of L. He is board certified with American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Mary Engle, PA

Mary Engle, a certified Physician Assistant, is a graduate of the University of Kentucky’s College of Allied Heath. She began her career in healthcare with a LPN degree and a Bachelor’s in Nursing prior to attending school to become a Physician Assistant. She has a broad experience in internal medicine, as well as cardiology, emergency medicine, geriatrics and pain management.

Trena Preston, APRN, originally trained as a registered nurse and who currently works as a Nurse Practitioner and obtained her bachelors in nursing and her Family Nurse Practitioner certification from Eastern Kentucky University. She sees patients in our clinic two days a week and sees patients who are in the Hazard Clinic House Call Program as well.


Deborah Anderson, APRN

Deborah Anderson, APRN holds a Doctorate in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She obtained her clinical experience at the highly respected Kaiser Permanente Clinic and University Hospital in Cleveland. She has been working as a provider in the Hazard Clinic House Call Program since 2000.

Elizabeth Crank, APRN

Elizabeth Crank, APRN is a family nurse practitioner and licensed dietitian who received her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from University of Kentucky. Elizabeth is very interested in the treatment of Diabetes and heart disease and uses her background in nutrition to educate our patients with these illnesses and those who may be at risk.
